Many of you know that I am from Maryland. Annapolis has always been my favorite weekend destination. The Liberte is one of Annapolis’ treasures on the Chesapeake.
About The Liberte … The Liberte is based on Spa Creek in Annapolis, Maryland. From June 29th – September 2nd, the schooner is docked at The Patriot Party Boats Pier in FAlmouth harbor in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Liberte’s captain, Captain Chris Tietje, and his wife, Jane, had the schooner built just for them. Captain Chris purchased the first Liberte in 1990, which is a replica of an 1850s Pinky Schooner. In 2000, Chris and Jane decided to build a bigger boat, and that is how this beautiful Schooner came to be.
