Two years ago, my Big Bear and I were headed down the highway from our home in North Carolina to a farmhouse that was for sale in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains. The farmhouse didn’t pan out for us, but the views were spectacular. I got a lot of photos. The photo I used for a reference for this painting was while we were on a Virginia highway. I think it was Highway 81. I took the photo out my passenger side window while cruising down the road. I just love the mountains, the views, and how peaceful and magnificent they are.
